Simon's Story...
A description of Simon from his current foster mom: I met Simon in October 2016 volunteering at PAWS and by November I was ready to introduce him to my husband and 2 dogs. He had been at the shelter far too long and we wanted to see him shine. We have learned a lot about Simon since he came home with us. He is extremely affectionate and lovable once he gets to know you. Don't let his shyness fool you, He is a goofy boy who spins in circles when you pull his leash out. He walks beautifully on leash and is trained to look at you for treats in uncertain situations. Simon is quiet and calm as a house guest. He is happiest chewing bones, going for walks or getting brushed. Any chance he gets he loves to snuggle on the couch. Simon is loved and loves going to Passage East for boarding. Simon is also crate trained (which will come home with him). He has been extremely patient with my other 2 dogs as they adjust to him. He particularly likes my male dog. Simon needs someone who is confident, kind and patient. Once that bond is built with Simon it is unbreakable.

Simon is eligible for the PAWS senior pension plan which means no adoption donation required and some lifelong medical follow-up!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Simon, a Norwalk Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Bull Terrier for sale in Norwalk, or seeking a Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Norwalk.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Norwalk already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Norwalk breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Bull Terrier breeders who help with Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Norwalk paves the way for another one to be saved.
