Zoey's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Zoey's Story...
Zoey, a 7 year old female field-bred Gordon Setter, is a well-mannered happy dog who lost her home due to her family's changing living situation. She is a polite girl, not too active, who loves attention. She is always smiling. Zoey takes her time to get to know new dogs but then gets along fine with them. She has lived in a home with cats and seems to get along fine with them in foster care as well. She is happy pointing birds in her fenced yard but has no formal field training and would not be happy as a hunting dog.

Zoey's adoption fee is $275.

Gordon Highlander Rescue Program is in need of foster homes. If you could provide temporary shelter for a Gordon in need, please contact us. We provide veterinary care; you provide the love.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Zoey, a DeKalb Gordon Setter dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Gordon Setter for sale in DeKalb, or seeking a Gordon Setter dog from a breeder in DeKalb.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in DeKalb already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a DeKalb breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Gordon Setter breeders who help with Gordon Setter rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in DeKalb paves the way for another one to be saved.
