Megan's Story...
Courtesy Listing - Please contact Cindy and not Canine and Kitty Co-op.
Meet Megan, a 1yr old pit bull mix. She gets along with dogs and all people. She's really happy and sweet. She is learning to walk on a leash. Megan is spayed, vaccinated, micro-chipped, and potty trained. She was found curled up in a ball on La Brea and Adams in Los Angeles. She was literally sleeping between the lanes of traffic on the white lines expecting all the cars to go around her! Megan is about 65lbs. She is perfect with kids (over 12, she's strong) cats, chickens, anything small, and submissive doggies. She gets scared and defensive with big bully breed adults. But she is great w/submissive dogs and little pups. Megan is VERY affectionate, remembering all the friends that she makes a long the way. A bit shy at first, but then loves her handler!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Megan, a Bellflower American Pit Bull Terrier/American Bulldog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Pit Bull Terrier/American Bulldog for sale in Bellflower, or seeking a American Pit Bull Terrier/American Bulldog dog from a breeder in Bellflower.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bellflower already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bellflower breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Pit Bull Terrier/American Bulldog breeders who help with American Pit Bull Terrier/American Bulldog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bellflower paves the way for another one to be saved.
