Guido's Story...
Guido is 10 months old and 7#. He and his brother, Gino, are Chorkies. They are not a bonded pair, but can be adopted together. They came to us quite timid. They are in a great foster home and are now playing with the other dogs.

Guido has been examined by a Vet and received all his vaccinations. He is heartworm negative. He is scheduled to be neutered August 18th. He will also be micro chipped at that time. There is no transfer fee for the micro chip when he is adopted. He will be available to go to his new home August 25th.

If you are interested in Guido, please go to our website and read about our adoption process and to complete an application. www.wimberleywagrescue.org An application must be submitted before we can set up a meet & greet. Applications are considered in the order in which they are received.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Guido, a Wimberley Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Chihuahua dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Chihuahua for sale in Wimberley, or seeking a Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Chihuahua dog from a breeder in Wimberley.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Wimberley already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Wimberley breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Chihuahua breeders who help with Yorkie, Yorkshire Terrier/Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Wimberley paves the way for another one to be saved.
