Bugger's Story...
shoe and dog

(ID #799) Hi, my name is Bugger.

I was found as a stray wandering the streets, worrying how to care for myself. At least here at the shelter I have my basic needs met, like food and water plus a roof over my head. However, I am longing to find my forever home and a family to love me. Do you have room in your heart and your home for me??

I am a young fellow, around one year old and I weigh around 47 pounds. I have already been neutered, given my basic shots, microchipped, and heartworm negative.

I am being sponsored by Sheltered Paws Dog Rescue. That means they are providing you with a getting started Goodie Bag when you adopt me. The bag contains a collar, leash, ID tag, training DVD, CD with helpful articles, booklet with training information, toy, and treats.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bugger, a Cincinnati Boxer dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Boxer for sale in Cincinnati, or seeking a Boxer dog from a breeder in Cincinnati.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Cincinnati already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Cincinnati breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Boxer breeders who help with Boxer rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Cincinnati paves the way for another one to be saved.
