My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Personality: A very, very sweet young lady. A true lap dog. Sit down in a chair big enough for her to share and she is beside you in a blink. Loves to snuggle and cuddle. Likes a light covering over her head. Sleeps with me every night and wants to be snuggled up close, totally under the covers or next to you with a pillow for her to “dig” her head under. Never gets up in the night. Lily is really frightened of thunderstorms or any unusual noise. A dark summer rain is just as bad. Had no trouble with winter snow. During a thunder storm, she really likes for someone to hold her or take her to bed and cover her with pillows while keeping a hand on her – or sit in a chair, hold her and cover her with a light covering.
Unique characteristics: Loves to “steal” toys and takes them to her daytime bed. When you are working about the house or not holding her, she wants to stay in the same room with you but will stay in a bed and likes to stack lots of toys in the bed. We have 3 dogs and she takes all the toys. Loves to get on the bed with the other two and play really rough with them. She will mix with other dogs but wants to be the favorite of the owner. Does not fight – thus will mix great with a dominant dog. (We have one – a Yorkie that must be boss of everything and she lets him.)

We do not make money on the yorkies we adopt to new families, we use whatever remaining money we have to help other yorkies in need. NC Yorkie Rescue, Inc. is a small group of dedicated and sincere yorkie lovers. We take all yorkies, regardless of age or health issues. We are in the process of applying for our 501(c)(3) and are a non-profit group. A home visit may be performed before the adoption is approved and an adoption application must be submitted and approved as well. All of our yorkies come with complimentary training sessions, either by a personal visit to the office or a telephone consultation, to help their transition into their new home. Please contact NCYorkieRescue@AOL.com for more information and be sure to visit www.NCYorkieRescue.org and fill out an adoption application, located on the top of the page - FORMS, to be eligible for adoption. Thank you for wanting to adopt a rescued yorkie, and please always spay and neuter your pets!
