Baby's Story...
Hi there, I am Baby. I know such a soft name for a big handsome gentleman like myself. I must say, it is fitting. I am a soft sweet soul. What you would call a 'velcro dog'. I am loyal as can be and want to stick right by your side. I love children and play well with other dogs but I cannot be around cats (those felines all equal dinner to me!) I am crate trained and know a few commands like 'sit' and 'lay down', but I grew up in a more rural area and am not accustomed to having a leash on- I am happy just to follow right by your side without being on lead- but here in the city it is important I learn how to use a leash. My house manners are unknown but don't worry I am smart and eager to please and will learn very quickly! 18 months old-70lbs. My adoption fee is $150 and includes; current shots, neuter rebate, 5 week Training Class, 1 month pet health insurance, leash/collar, food sample, toy & Treat packet..

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Baby, a Portland Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Portland, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
