Max's Story...
Max is a stunning, gentle dog, but he has a sad and tragic history. His former family was simply indifferent to Max. He spent most of his past in their backyard on a chain. They imprisoned Max when it’s they who should be imprisoned. When they decided to move, they treated Max like an old piece of furniture. They decided to try and dump him at the pound. A rescuer who cared too much to see this injustice done happened to be there bailing out another dog and had them relinquish Max to her care. He was bone thin, scared, and weak. He’d clearly never been walked on leash before. He’s learning all these new things for the first time. He is learning to trust again. He’s very smart and highly motivated to learn. We are seeking a forever home for Max where this regally handsome dog can receive calm, assertive leadership in a household that understands the loyal and intelligent temperament of the German Shepherd breed. Only experienced guardians should apply for Max. We need to insure that he gets to live the rest of his life out in dignity, with love and respect he deserves. Max has lots to give to the right home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Max, a Marina del Rey German Shepherd Dog dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a German Shepherd Dog for sale in Marina del Rey, or seeking a German Shepherd Dog dog from a breeder in Marina del Rey.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marina del Rey already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marina del Rey breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even German Shepherd Dog breeders who help with German Shepherd Dog rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marina del Rey paves the way for another one to be saved.
