I am already spayed, housetrained, purebred, up to date with shots, not good with kids, not good with dogs, and good with cats.

Jilly's Story...
Poor Jilly has been returned to DAR&E for the 3rd time for reasons I just can't fathom..... so once again this sweet girl is available for adoption. Jilly is now about 5 years old, red/rust and a petite girl. She's got natural ears and a little splash of light hair across her muzzle which gives her an adorable, unique look. She's highly devoted, highly intelligent and faultlessly obedient. She was overweight when she came back this time, but has slimmed down to her corrrect weight and is feeling much better. She loves to play with other dogs, although she can be a bit bitchy when the mood strikes, so a laid-back buddy is best. She's fine with cats, but shouldn't be placed with little dogs as she can be a little bit of a bully with them. In the wrong home Jilly has some nervous issues and can be fearful around strangers. In the right home she's confident and greets new people happily. Given this a home without children and with dog-savvy owners will be best. This is a great dog who just needs to be with a committed owner who knows how to treat her. Update 1/10/06 - Jilly has now learned the joys of fetching! She absolutely loves to retrieve her kong toy and will do so for as long as you will throw it for her. She's happily greeting any and all visitors and even gets out of sorts if I don't allow her to be the first in line in the welcoming committee. Miss Jilly loves to go for walks as much as she loves to curl up with you and relax. All she needs is a little structure and direction from a confident owner and she's a happy, outgoing, easy-to-have-around little Dobe. She will make a wonderful addition to the right family and would love to finally find her forever home.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Jilly, a Arlington Doberman Pinscher dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Doberman Pinscher for sale in Arlington, or seeking a Doberman Pinscher dog from a breeder in Arlington.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Arlington already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Arlington breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Doberman Pinscher breeders who help with Doberman Pinscher rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Arlington paves the way for another one to be saved.
