My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

UPDATE 3/12/2011: Scarlett is available to be seen on weekends at PetsMart. She is a sweet and wonderful kitten. She is very affectionate and loving. Scarlett is 10 months old and would make a wonderful addition to most any family. Her 2 sisters were adopted a while ago but Scarlet developed an infection in her left eye so she could not be adopted earlier. Her foster mom took good care of her and medicated her eye several times a day. We thought that little Scarlet was going to lose her eye but it has healed. Now, all we can see is a little cloudy scar. We were not sure about calling her special needs because she is not on any medications and will not have any long term problems with her eyes but the scar will probably always be visible. Scarlett loves to play and her favorite toys are little fuzzy mice. She gets along well with other cats and would do well with another "teenage" youngster as a kitty companion. We think she would do fine in a new family with kids, dogs, or other cats. Scarlett definitely likes dogs and will even try to get to the dogs outside the adoption room at PetsMart. If you want to meet her, please e-mail spcagainesville@hotmail.com and we will send you an adoption questionnaire. Or you can visit PetsMart on Archer Road in Gainesville from 11am-4pm each Sat and Sun. All of our cats and kittens have been leukemia tested, vet checked, vaccinated, dewormed, spayed or neutered, microchipped, and treated for fleas.
