Gabe's Story...
I was surrendered to the shelter because my owner had health issues and couldn't take care of me. I'm only 5 months old and 39lbs. I'm said to be good with kids but I'm a little energetic so, I might do best with older kids. I'm said to be ok with other dogs once I get to know them. I haven't met any kitties yet. I know a few basic commands and I'd love to learn more! I've been kept outside so thus far but I sure would like a family that will keep me inside and let me be a part of the family! I will be adopted out on a neuter contract which includes a monetary deposit that will be refunded when you provide proof from your veterinarian that I have been altered, which MUST be done within 30 days of my adoption! If you are interested in me and you can provide a loving responsible forever home please contact the shelter and don't forget to include my ID number! If you don't plan to honor the adoption contract and have me neutered and keep me up to date on my shots, please do not inquire about adopting me. 8/12

ALL ANIMALS MUST BE ALTERED WITHIN 30 DAYS OF ADOPTION OR BY SIX MONTHS OF AGE!!!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Gabe, a Ladysmith Blue Heeler puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Blue Heeler for sale in Ladysmith, or seeking a Blue Heeler puppy from a breeder in Ladysmith.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Ladysmith already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Ladysmith breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Blue Heeler breeders who help with Blue Heeler rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Ladysmith paves the way for another one to be saved.
