Tinkerbell's Story...
Tinkerbell was saved from a town pound. After finding her as a stray and keeping her for a month they'd actually taken her to be euthanized and the vet refused, saying that she should surely be able to find a home. Thankfully someone contacted us and we've been able to give her a shot at a forever home! Tinkerbell is about 18 months old and she's very friendly and happy. She is a typical female schnauzer (in that she's bossy with other dogs) but her personality is great and she'll make a wonderful pet. She does enjoy chasing cats so if your cat will not appreciate it please keep that in mind! Tinkerbell is housebroken and crate trained too! Please help Tinkerbell find her forever home.

Our dogs are mainly fostered in TN at our parent rescues . We have many wonderful dogs looking for homes! All of them are completely vetted and neutered/spayed (if age appropriate) and on heartworm protection. All of them come with complete medical records. Their adoption fee of $425 covers their complete age appropriate vetting and heartworm preventative as well as their transportation to your area.
Our rescue doesn't have an actual shelter building in the Maine area. Due to this it is not possible to meet them prior to their adoption. Our dogs are brought up to their new owners weekly! We have a 14 day no questions asked money back guarantee and the dog can be returned to us if things don't work out. We try hard to get good matches in our homes so that everyone has a happy life together! To date we have placed over a thousand dogs and puppies in loving homes from Tennessee clear up to Canada!
We have many, many, references of happy adopters up in your area that can fill you in on their experience. Just email and we can pass along that information for your convenience.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tinkerbell, a Portland Schnauzer (Standard) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Schnauzer (Standard) for sale in Portland, or seeking a Schnauzer (Standard) dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Schnauzer (Standard) breeders who help with Schnauzer (Standard) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
