Pita's Story...
Hi, my name is "Pita" and I am 17 months old. I recently came to VPAS because one of the children in my family developed an allergy to me. I wasn't getting the attention that I needed because my family had to lock me in the basement (away from the child), so they brought me to VPAS so that I could find a home where I can get all of the attention in the world. I am a very affectionate cat, so I would like a family that has lots of time to spend playing with me. I have experience with dogs and children, but I am not too fond of other cats (however I might get used to one given some time to get to know him or her.) If you have room in your home for a love-bug like myself, please come down to VPAS and meet me.
A photo will follow.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pita, a Saanichton Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Saanichton, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Saanichton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Saanichton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Saanichton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Saanichton paves the way for another one to be saved.
