Naomi's Story...
Naomi: 3-4 yr old black & tan female, spayed, docked tail and cropped ears. 9", 7.5 lb. Shots up-to-date.
Naomi is a 3-4 year old 7 pound female with cropped ears and a docked tail. She spent her life in a wire pen being used for breeding and is now learning to live life as a PET and not a PRODUCT. Naomi is a bit skittish, but likes to play with her foster canine siblings and wags her tail when I talk to her and she comes close to me, but is still "hand shy." She has never known that a human hand can bring kindness and love, but she is learning to trust her foster parents. She figured out how to use our doggie door and potties outside! I doubt if she has ever been on a leash, so a fenced yard is a MUST. Naomi hasn't barked once since moving into her foster home! She is spayed, vaccinated and had a dental. Oh- microchipped, too!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Naomi, a Florissant Miniature Pinscher dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Miniature Pinscher for sale in Florissant, or seeking a Miniature Pinscher dog from a breeder in Florissant.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Florissant already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Florissant breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Miniature Pinscher breeders who help with Miniature Pinscher rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Florissant paves the way for another one to be saved.
