I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, not good with dogs, and not good with cats.
Hi, I'm Clayton and I was born around January 2010. One day I was wandering the neighborhood, playing with the local kids and looking for a place to call home. A nice AAT lady took me in and saved me... thank goodness! I am a sweet and loving boy with my people, but I don't like cats or other dogs, so I need to be the only love of your life.
I'm definitely enjoying the indoor life and this stuff called air conditioning...outdoor life has nothing that interests me, but I am having fun playing in the cool of the evenings in my plastic pool. Splashing and lounging in the pool is a real treat and I think that's something my new home will have to have (or a real backyard pool!!).
So, while enjoying lounging in my pool, I'm really just waiting for my new family to find me... a family who will appreciate my 50 lb physique and admire how fabulously handsome and special I am..... and since I love everyone, I'm perfect for a family who will love me forever (and that play pool would be nice too!).
Clayton is in boarding because we don't have an open foster home for him without other dogs and cats. If you cannot adopt Clayton, please consider sponsoring him by donating through Paypal to pay a day or two of his boarding. Clayton thanks you...his boarding place is terrific, but it's not home, so tell your friends about him!

Rescue Group Info...
Animal Allies of Texas is a 501(c)(3) animal advocacy/rescue organization, dedicated to improving the quality of life in our community. Our goal is to build a no-kill shelter on enough land to house not only "adoptable" animals, but "treatable" ones as well - those who need medical care or behavior modification to become adoptable. While working toward this goal, we will also engage in community service and humane education projects to help bring about "humanity championed by thought."
We hold adoption events at one or more locations every week end. Please check the calendar on our web site www.animalalliesoftexas.org for specific locations and times.
All potential adopters must submit an application, either online via our web site www.animalalliesoftexas.org or a paper application at an adoption event. General requirements for adoption: You must live in the DFW/Ft. Worth/North Texas area - we do not adopt outside this area. Dogs must be primarily inside, and cats must be totally inside. Cats must not be declawed. All pets must be spayed/neutered if this has not been done prior to adoption. Adopter must agree to a home visit prior to adoption. Adopter MUST agree to return pet to AAT if he/she can no longer keep the pet or if AAT deems it to be in the best interest of the pet. An adoption agreement detailing these and other requirements must be signed to finalize adoption. Current fees are: dogs-$175, cats-$110. This covers all vaccinations, spay/neuter and microchipping.
Animal Allies of Texas serves all cities and towns within the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex (North Texas area). We restrict adoptions to these areas so that we can do home visits to ensure the best placement for all our animals.
