Tabitha's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with dogs.

Tabitha's Story...
Tabitha (formerly Tommy) was rescued from the Baldwin Park shelter. We thought she was a "he" according to the kennel paperwork. But a visit to the vet confirmed that he is in fact a she! Tabitha is as sweet as they come. She is very quiet, mellow and just happy to be laying at your feet. Tabitha is a 10 month old mix of Maltese/Shih tzu. She is currently 7 lbs, but after a few home cooked meals, we'd anticipate a healthy weight for her to be 9 lbs. She gets along just fine with other dogs and is getting an A+ in her potty skills. Just an all around perfect little companion!

If interested in Tabitha, please fill out an adoption application on our website at: www.lovebugsrescue.org

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tabitha, a Irvine Maltese/Shih Tzu dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Maltese/Shih Tzu for sale in Irvine, or seeking a Maltese/Shih Tzu dog from a breeder in Irvine.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Irvine already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Irvine breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Maltese/Shih Tzu breeders who help with Maltese/Shih Tzu rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Irvine paves the way for another one to be saved.
