Freckles's Story...
PLEASE NOTE: Any dog that is listed on this site is still available for adoption (so please no emails asking if the dachshund is still available). Freckles is a owner turn over. He is neutered and up to date on all his shots.

He would be a great dog in any home. He is very active and likes to play with his adopted brothers and sisters and would do well with another dog. Or if not another dog, he would like to have a younger active person who has dachshund experience (above the age of 10) who will pay a lot of attention to him and play with him a lot.

Freckles is also a very loving boy, who would also appreciate a person that he could lounge with and relax and have a warm lap to sit on from time to time.

Freckles can be a bit of a whiner and barker when attention is not on him for long periods of time, however, if he has a playmate, his attention goes back and forth from his human to his playmate so he will be a happy little guy.

If he were to go into a home with no playmate, he will need someone who is home a majority of the time to pay attention to him.

Tax deductible adoption fees for Freckles are to be announced.

If you are interested in adopting Freckles, please fill out an application.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Freckles, a Garden Grove Dachshund dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Dachshund for sale in Garden Grove, or seeking a Dachshund dog from a breeder in Garden Grove.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Garden Grove already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Garden Grove breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Dachshund breeders who help with Dachshund rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Garden Grove paves the way for another one to be saved.
