Yossi's Story...
I am a young, sweet, friendly and really nice boy cat. I do not know why, but my former guardian decided I could not live with him any longer. In fact, he left me in a parking area near the SPCA. But that is OK because I only want to be where I am truly wanted and appreciated. Thankfully I was noticed by a Good Samaritan who brought me to the shelter so I could be adopted into a good home. Unfortunately the SPCA is a little crowded now so I may need to be patient. But if my luck continues, I know my perfect family could walk thru the door real soon.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Yossi, a Briarcliff Manor Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Briarcliff Manor, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Briarcliff Manor.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Briarcliff Manor already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Briarcliff Manor breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Briarcliff Manor paves the way for another one to be saved.
