Meet Sunshine, aka Sunni! Sunni is a young yellow lab, most likely between 7 and 8 months. Sunni was found tied in the yard of an abandoned house. She has been in foster care for 2 months, as she needed to learn manners and how to live with humans. It does not appear that she had ever lived inside before being rescued. That has all changed now; she learns quickly and greets strangers with a big lick and tail wagging. Sunni is sweet and friendly with a big smile and tail that wags constantly. Sunni gets along very well with other dogs. She also loves children, as you can see from the photos. She enjoys running around the back yard with her foster sisters. She is all Lab when it comes to water: the water bowl, pool or puddles are all fun for her to play in! She even loves mud (not that we allow her to play in it). She is doing great on her crate and house training. As with any puppy, Sunni needs practice walking on a leash as well as learning basic commands. Of course, she will always sit for a treat. Sunni is now ready for her forever home. Adopt her and she will be the “Sunshine” of your life. Will she be yours?
UPDATE FROM THE FOSTER MOM: Sunni is a bright young yellow lab who will steal your heart when you meet her. She is an active lab who loves to fetch, go for long walks/hikes, chase her foster sisters around the yard and then crash at your feet. You will never feel lonely with Sunni in your life-she will always be by your side.
UPDATE FROM THE FOSTER FAMILY: Sunni is a beautiful, happy go lucky eleven month old yellow puppy. She walks well on a leash, can sit/stay and makes great eye contact as she waits to be released. She loves to go for hikes in the woods, swim and play in water and chase-fetch just about anything you will throw for her. She is still a puppy so is teething-Sunni is learning the command "leave it" when she has something in her mouth she should not have. She is very happy to have you replace it with a toy-:) Sunni learns very quickly and will make a great dog for an active person-couple-family. Will you be that lucky one?
UPDATE FROM THE FOSTER FAMILY 10/31: In the time we have fostered Sunni, we have come to appreciate her love of life, people and exercise. Sunni learns very quickly and responds well to learned commands. Miss Sunni is looking for a forever home that will provide her with the opportunity to go for walks, hike, swim and cuddle on the couch. She will love you unconditionaly. Will you be her forever home?
