Colby's Story...
Colby is a fabulous young dog! We believe he is about 1 1/2 years old. Colby is very friendly, and is a calm, well-behaved boy. He learns very quickly and would be an excellent candidate for agility or flyball. Playing fetch is one of Colby's favourite activities, and if he can't find a ball to chase, he'll find a stick for you to throw for him!

Colby is affectionate, quite submissive, and gets along well with other dogs and cats. Although Colby was found as a stray in the Prince Albert area, he was already neutered. Colby knows sit, down, stay, up, on your bed, kennel and is working on drop it. He has almost mastered sit and wait for food and before and after doors are opened without being told. Colby is also very well house-trained.

Colby will make an excellent pet for some lucky family! He is ready to find his forever home!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Colby, a Saskatoon Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Saskatoon, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Saskatoon.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Saskatoon already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Saskatoon breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Saskatoon paves the way for another one to be saved.
