Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Hi! Do you have an active outdoor lifestyle and feel that a canine partner for your adventures would make life perfect? If so, look no further than my kennel at MaxFund! I am energetic, affectionate, and very good company!
My name is Pippy. I am about 7 months old and weigh 35 lbs. I’m a German Shepherd mix and I may grow a little more – or maybe not. I was abandoned by my family who left me behind in the yard when they moved. A nice neighbor saw what had happened and kindly brought me to MaxFund to find a forever family. I am a little nervous here at the shelter since everything is unfamiliar but I am getting more relaxed as I settle in and I am making lots of friends among the staff, volunteers and other dogs!
I may be a little shy when you first meet me but that’s just because I don’t want to be pushy. I get along with both adults and children. Cats are fine by me, as long as they like dogs of course. I very much enjoy playing with other dogs and I also enjoy playtime with humans. Water sports are great. I wish the paddling pool here at MaxFund was bigger so I could swim. However, it’s really fun paddling and when I jump in I like making a big splash - whooppee!
I walk well on a leash. I may pull a bit at first because I am soooo happy to get out but I do settle down. I am also fine with car rides so we will be able to go on trips with no problems there! I haven’t had much (any?) formal training but I can “sit” nicely. I just need a few more positive reinforcement classes to hone my skills. I believe it helps that I am quite treat-motivated! I am mostly housetrained but I will likely need some guidance when I get to your home.
Please come and take me for a walk so we can get to know each other better. I promise that I will be a loyal, loving and lively companion!
