Leo's Story...
Leo is a sweet happy 8 week old Lab mix baby who gets so excited when he plays that he bounces, sometimes managing to get all four feet off the ground. His nickname could be Tigger, he gets so much air! He is almost completely kennel trained during the day and at night and is working on paper training. As soon as he has all of his shots, Leo will begin housetraining so he can go outside. Leo enjoys playing with all the people in his foster home in addition to the other dogs and even the cat. He is a snuggler, a companion and a general sweetheart. Leo's foster mom says it will be hard to see him go but she will be so happy for his new lucky family!

Leo will be at Petsmart in Overland Park on Saturdays beginning May 13th, from 12-3:00. Please contact Gerilyn at neazks@yahoo.com or 913-706-1900 if you have any questions about LEO!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Leo, a Overland Park Labrador Retriever puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Overland Park, or seeking a Labrador Retriever puppy from a breeder in Overland Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Overland Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Overland Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Overland Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
