Lacie's Story...
Hi! I'm Lacie...
I was rescued from a neglect case in southern Tennessee. I am probably just under two years old. I only weigh 31 pounds right now, but need to gain a little bit. I am very good with other dogs... love to play with toys, and am very affectionate. I have met a kitten and just ignored her so I am ok with cats. I am very quite...there isn't much that will make me bark. I am doing very well on leash and am crate trained. The family who adopts me will need to be patient with my housebreaking as I am used to being in an outdoor pen. If you think that you are the perfect family for me, please email the rescue for an application quickly! I am so darn cute, I won't last very long!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lacie, a PORTLAND Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Golden Retriever for sale in PORTLAND, or seeking a Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in PORTLAND.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in PORTLAND already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a PORTLAND breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Golden Retriever breeders who help with Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in PORTLAND paves the way for another one to be saved.
