Sindy Belle's Story...
Please note: :Sindy and Vennila will only be placed in homes where there is another dog to keep them company if the adopters work all day or in a home where someone is home during the day. Ideally, we would like to place both puppies together but it isn't mandatory as long as they each have another dog that's young enough for them to play with, to keep them company."
Sindy is a beige 4 month old very petite little mixed breed dog (best guess is Shiba Inu and some type of terrier) female from Taiwan. She and her sisters arrived at LAX on 5/9 and are in rescues including ours. They have been tested negative for heartworm, are microchipped, wormed, given their first two sets of shots and had their rabies. Their story is very emotional (read at the end of this narrative) but we hope a new forever home here in CA will erase the bad memories. They are sweet, living, playful little pups and should not get beyond 25 lbs. You can go to www.hugadog.com/sacr to complete an application on line. Sindy will be spayed prior to placement and should be ready for adoption by early June. Adoption process includes homecheck, contract, trial period, adoption donation of $175. Here is Sindy & her sisters story. Sindy and her two sisters (See Vennila) and Rainy (with Villalobos Rescue in Canyon Country, CA) were found hanging around the beach near a fishing port. According to the people living nearby, the three puppies, Rainy, Vennila and Sindy were abandoned with their mother at the beach a month ago by their owner, who was a fisherman. The mother dog often went about hunting for food for her puppies. One day she ate something poisonous and was killed on the spot. The three puppies were left alone without anybody caring about them. There were a lot of stray dogs at the beach. The puppies were often attacked by the big and aggressive dogs. It's very hard for the puppies to survive. They had no other choice but to hide among the rocks along the coast. When they were found, they were very skinny and weak. A rescuer sent them to the animal hopital where they were given good care and fed with nutritious food. This was all done by the Taiwan Rescue Animal Team. There are a lot of dogs in Taiwan that come into rescue and adoptions are few and far between. If you are interested in adopting a dog from Taiwan feel free to complete an application on line at www.hugadog.com/sacr and that will be forwarded to the group in Taiwan who need sponsors for dogs to come to the West Coast of USA.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sindy Belle, a Lomita Shiba Inu/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shiba Inu/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) for sale in Lomita, or seeking a Shiba Inu/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) puppy from a breeder in Lomita.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lomita already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lomita breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shiba Inu/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) breeders who help with Shiba Inu/Terrier (Unknown Type, Small) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lomita paves the way for another one to be saved.
