Marilyn's Story...
Hi, hello, howdy, and however else one can say hello! I'm Marilyn. Yes, like Marilyn Monroe because I am so beautiful. Not many girls can wake up in the morning and already have eyeliner and mascara on, but I can! I came to HEA from Dane County, because they wanted HEA to work with me more than they had time for. They were working with me on my desire to protect my rawhides and I seem to be doing well with relaxing about those. They also needed to work with me with other dogs. I am doing pretty well. The biggest thing is, I want to play with them, so if they don't like a kind of crazy, let's have lots of fun kind of dog than they usually don't like me. I was also very afraid of men when I first got here, but I am coming around with that too. I now let them put a leash on me and cuddle with me and I lick them through the fence, so I am making great progress with that too. So if you would be willing to spend time with me to help me get over my fears I would love to be your dog. Like I said, I am well on my way, I just need someone willing to continue to work with me and love me. Please show me what a loving family can be like. Yours truly, Ms. Marilyn Monroe

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Marilyn, a Marion Pit Bull Terrier dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Pit Bull Terrier for sale in Marion, or seeking a Pit Bull Terrier dog from a breeder in Marion.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marion already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marion breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Pit Bull Terrier breeders who help with Pit Bull Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marion paves the way for another one to be saved.
