My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dignity was rescued from the county kennel after his owner turned him for euthanization with agreement to adopt if someone wanted him. It was reported that he was 12 yrs old. His shots are up to date and is dewormed. He leashes well, listens well, loves belly rubs, attention and car rides. Dignity earned his name as this rescue believes that seniors should be able die humanely and with dignity. While at the vet he saw some small dogs, showed curiosity and listened to the command 'leave it'. He will sit and stay. If he is kept on leash for walks, he will not need a fence. He just needs a soft bed and a quiet to medium active loving home .
UPDATE - 8/27/10 Dignity is showing no agressions. He knows to sit on command and we anticipate he is very smart. The vet thinks he is more like 8 yrs old and no reason that he wouldn't make a fine pet for someone.
UPDATE - 9/20/10 Dignity is gaining weight , his coat is getting shiny and he will be neutered Thursday. After his stitches come out he will be ready to go. "Dig" (fondly for short) is friendly to all who meet him. He is happy and alert.
UPDATE - 9/24/10 Dignity has gained much needed weight, from 69#'s on Aug 12th to 82#'s today. We have found out that Dignity knows sit, stay, come, down, give me 5, and has good potty habits. He was neutered today.
UPDATE 10/20/10 Dignity is excelling with consistency in basic commands training and all the other things he does as eagerness to please. Every day I wonder what I can train him to do next. He is a smart and great dog. He will make a fine pet.
