Bubba's Story...
Bubba is a about a year old lab mix who definitely needs attention. He was found as a stray in OH and had to be caught in a live trap because of his fear of people. He is good with people now and wants love, but needs to work on manners. He would do best with someone who had time to work with him as he wants to please and be with his human. He is neutered, up to date with shots, microchipped, and HW negative. If you are interested in Bubba, go to www.hubbardshounds.com and submit an application. NO PHONE CALLS!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Bubba, a Homer Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Homer, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Homer.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Homer already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Homer breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Homer paves the way for another one to be saved.
