Cognac's Story...
Startled by the picture? Cognac was found in a shelter in this condition! A caring woman took him in, and you can see the improvement in the next two pictures. However, now Cognac's savior is losing her home and will be forced to move out of state, so Cognac needs another miracle. Cognac is still terrified of being touched and put on a leash, but he no longer huddles in fear in his dog crate. Here is a project for someone with extraordinary compassion and love to share. Are you the one to bring Cognac the rest of the way back? Contact Discarded Miracles (discardedmiracles@gmail.com).

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Cognac, a Los Alamitos Chow Chow dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chow Chow for sale in Los Alamitos, or seeking a Chow Chow dog from a breeder in Los Alamitos.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Los Alamitos already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Los Alamitos breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chow Chow breeders who help with Chow Chow rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Los Alamitos paves the way for another one to be saved.
