Tipper's Story...
Tipper is an older boy that is some beagle, his head and face especially but the rest is just a guess on a golden He is 11 years old and was surrendered by his family to an animal control and we are looking for a home where he can spend his years in comfort. He had a problem with one of his back legs and had corrective surgery and nearly good as new but does have a slight limp. He also may not hear that well and his eyes may not be as good as they once were but he is very sweet and needs a special home. He is a calm, stay by your side kind of dog and will not wander even if in a unfenced area as long as he is with you. He is house trained!

Contact Mindy at mmiller@beaglebuddies.org to obtain an application. Submit the application form and we will schedule a time to meet the pet. If interested in adopting we require a home visit and an adoption agreement with a fee. Beagles over 5 years of age have an adoption of $100 and if younger than 5 years the fee is $125. All dogs are spayed or neutered prior to adoption, are up to date on vaccinations, and a copy of vet records is provided upon adoption to set up a file at your vet. We supply collar, temporary ID tag until you can use till you get one, and leash. All beagles are micro-chipped as well.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Tipper, a Indianapolis Beagle/Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle/Golden Retriever for sale in Indianapolis, or seeking a Beagle/Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Indianapolis.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Indianapolis already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Indianapolis breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle/Golden Retriever breeders who help with Beagle/Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Indianapolis paves the way for another one to be saved.
