Socks's Story...
This trio of cuties was rescued from the kill shelter. When they headed to their foster home they were very thin and malnurished but look at them now! They are a little shy when they first meet new people. They didnt seem to know what people were when they were found. Now they warm up and like to bounce around you and play. Socks is very handsome and friendly as well as curious. We do not know what their parents were so our best guess is a chihuahua/terrier mix. They will be small to smallish/medium sized. They are estimated to be about 10 weeks old (Aug. 23rd) and they're all ready for their new homes. Due to their young age they will not be spayed or neutered prior to coming to their new homes. Their new family will receive a 50$ rebate when they have it done at 6 months of age and information on a low cost voucher will be provided

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Socks, a Harrisonburg Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier for sale in Harrisonburg, or seeking a Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier puppy from a breeder in Harrisonburg.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Harrisonburg already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Harrisonburg breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier breeders who help with Chihuahua/Jack Russell Terrier rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Harrisonburg paves the way for another one to be saved.
