Artorius's Info...
| Breed: | Domestic Shorthair | Color: | Black (All) | Age: | Adult |
| Sex: | Male | Hair: | Short |
I am already neutered, a special needs pet, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with cats.
SPECIAL NEEDS: FIV Positive
Handsome Artorius is a calm, noble, easy-going and affectionate cat who truly enjoys spending gentle, lazy times with his human companion(s). He gets along well with Jacob and Karen, our other FIV positive kitties that he shares his room with. Artorius would love to be able to leave his room and share the whole house or apartment with you. He is a wonderful boy who is in very good health. Artorius receives Interferon Alpha daily for his Feline Immunodeficiency Virus to boost his immune system and maintain his health. Artorius will be adopted as an indoor only kitty. He would be a wonderful companion for another good-natured FIV positive cat as well. He is one of our pet-therapy cats.

Rescue Group Info...

We are an all-foster home, no-kill, cageless, no time limit feline sanctuary. We rescue high-risk cats the shelters and veterinarians will not otherwise offer for adoption. We focus on "special needs" and mature animals, although not ALL of our adoptable cats are mature or have a special need. We take these pets into our homes, socialize them with our own families and provide for all their needs until they are adopted. We stand behind our adopted pets for their entire lives. Some of our sanctuary pets are socialized, vetted and trained to provide pet therapy services to area rehabilitation and assisted living facilities.
You can meet our pets in purr-son by calling the foster parent and arranging an appointment at their foster home. We also hold adoptathons on occasion at the Azalea Square PetsMart, Summerville, SC or at Petco in Walterboro, SC on Bells Highway.
1. interview with the foster parent or a member of the Board of Directors
1.a. A home visit might be required prior to adoption, and may still be made after adoption.
2. Complete an adoption application if you are interested in proceeding with adoption.
3. When your application to adopt is approved, we will complete the adoption contract.
3.a. Our contract stipulates that cats must be indoor cats unless specifically agreed upon in writing by us otherwise. Likewise, our contract also forbids declawing unless we specifically approve in writing.
4. Adoption Donations: Kittens are $90, Adults 1-7 years old $60, Adults over 7 and Special Needs: $40
