This Cat Can Fly's Story...
This Cat Can Fly is a much loved & well cared for bay 4 year old Thoroughbred filly. She was trained and raced briefly by her loving owner, but Cat came up unsound in December of 2009 due to a coffin bone injury on her far front, then a stress fracture in her right front pastern February 2009. Cat was given the time off she needed, but was not running well, and the decision was made to allow her to remain sound and find a new career. Unfortunately, her owner/ trainer had a unrelated galloping accident resulting in severe facial injuries. We were contacted and agreed to take Cat. She is a very well behaved, sweet and gorgeous girl who is just now adjusting to her new life at the rescue. She will remain in rehab until her previous x rays can be obtained and gone over by our vets, and we can evaluate her thoroughly. Welcome Cat! http://www.pedigreequery.com/this+cat+can+fly

Why Adoption is a Great Option

This Cat Can Fly, a Old Fort Thoroughbred was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Thoroughbred for sale in Old Fort, or seeking a Thoroughbred from a breeder in Old Fort.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Old Fort already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Old Fort breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Thoroughbred breeders who help with Thoroughbred rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Old Fort paves the way for another one to be saved.
