My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

"If I can stop one heart from breaking, I shall not live in vain. if I can ease one life the aching, or cool one pain, or help one fainting robin unto his nest again, I shall not live in vain." Emily Dickinson

These must have been the sentiments felt by the Good Samaritan who found Carly and took her in one stormy day. Carly was a gorgeous red cocker female cocker spaniel who spoke with her eyes, asking for help. Her left ear had been mangled and the flap was gone. The infection was raging and the pain was intense. The Good Samaritan called Cocker Spaniel Rescue and we were happy to help. The infection had gone inside of the ear so the ear canal was removed and the opening was sewn shut. And today, Carly is thriving. This 2-3 year old female has no long term effects from the injury or surgery and is the sweetest girl ever! She is totally housetrained and gets along great with kids and other dogs. She is a real cuddler but is a true lady and asks to be invited before jumping on the furniture. This sweetheart may have just have one ear but she hears fine and is truly the cream of the crop at the Cocker Inn.
