Lily's Story...
Lily, a Chihuahua blend is now ready for her new forever home. Born the end of April, the litter of puppies have been socialized, are doggie door trained, do well on a leash with harness and love to give kisses. She has already been spayed, and has had puppy shots and is microchipped. Lily was "Leader of the Pack" with her litter mates, but loves to be held and cuddled just like the others. Would probably do better with another dog, but with enough attention could be an only child. The mother was a pure Chihuahua and the father is unknown. Estimating with their growth the vet feels they will be between 15 and 20 pound dogs at adult. If you would like to meet Lily please send in your completed application found on our web site www.RescueAChihuahua.com and we will contact you. Adoption fee applies.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Lily, a San Diego Chihuahua puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Chihuahua for sale in San Diego, or seeking a Chihuahua puppy from a breeder in San Diego.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in San Diego already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a San Diego breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Chihuahua breeders who help with Chihuahua rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in San Diego paves the way for another one to be saved.
