Dugan's Story...
Hi ya, I'm Dugan,

I am a buff and white boy who is just so cool! I'm long and lean, tall and handsome, what else could you ask for in a boy kitty! I'm 6 months old. I love to play and have fun, but also enjoy snuggle time. I do great with other kitties and even do great with the two big dogs in my foster home. I'm a curious boy who loves to see what you are up to and make sure you aren't getting into trouble without me. I'm so cute and just an awesome boy. My siblings and I were rescued from Sac County Animal Control. I love to play with those mylar krinkle toys, the one's that make crunchy sounds. I will bat them all over the house, pick them up carry them around and bat them around somemore. It's so fun! I love to play fetch. I always bring a toy mouse and put in on my mom's be at night. She throws it off the bed and I chase it, and bring it back, then the cycle of fun starts all over! I'm better at fetching than one of her dogs.

I love to be pet, love to sleep on the bed at night and just love to hang with my fellow foster kitties and foster family. I'm a real uniquely marked kitty. I'm spotted like a Cheetah! I have a very long thin tail and am quite sleek! I had a bad eye infection when I was little, so sometimes when I get stressed my eyes water a bit, but the vet says no worries! It'll clear up as I get older. All my siblings had the same thing, and they have all been adopted and are doing great. My foster mom can tell you more about it, it's nothing to worry about and it doesn't bug me at all! (kr)

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Dugan, a Sacramento Domestic Shorthair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Sacramento, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair cat from a breeder in Sacramento.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Sacramento already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Sacramento breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Sacramento paves the way for another one to be saved.
