Frida's Story...
We recieved 4 beautiful little stray kittens from a bank in Lafayette. They are about 5-6 weeks old, 2 boys and 2 girls. There is 2 brown tabbys and 2 black and white. We were told mom is a feral brown tabby cat that lives in the area (we will be trapping her soon to get her spayed), but she wasn't around when we took the kittens. These kittens need a little bit of socialization because they have never been around people before. They are the cutest little things, once we start working and playing with them, they will be the friendliest kittens that just want to be loved! We will be putting up pictures of them soon! Their names are Chico, Frida, Tucker, & Sadie.

Fridas adoption fee is $65.00 which includes their vetting, age appropriate shots, rabies (only if they're over 3 months of age), deworming, Spay/neuter (if cat is over the age of 6 months), and advice for lifetime of pet.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Frida, a Lafayette Domestic Shorthair kitten was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Shorthair for sale in Lafayette, or seeking a Domestic Shorthair kitten from a breeder in Lafayette.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Lafayette already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Lafayette breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Shorthair breeders who help with Domestic Shorthair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Lafayette paves the way for another one to be saved.
