Pinto's Story...
Pinto and his buddy Sasha are almost inseparable. They are a riot together, like Mutt & Jeff. They're about 4-5 months old and working hard on crate training. Pinto is shy when you first meet him but it doesn't take him long to relax and play with you! They're learning to not jump up and are fairly easygoing and curious. They're ready to come to their new homes. If you'd like to adopt Sasha and Pinto together we are offering a reduced adoption fee.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Pinto, a Salem Australian Shepherd/Blue Heeler puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Australian Shepherd/Blue Heeler for sale in Salem, or seeking a Australian Shepherd/Blue Heeler puppy from a breeder in Salem.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Salem already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Salem breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Australian Shepherd/Blue Heeler breeders who help with Australian Shepherd/Blue Heeler rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Salem paves the way for another one to be saved.
