Capone's Story...
Hi my name is Capone and as you can tell I am a handsome 6 month old Siberian Husky. I way about 52 pounds but still have a lot of growing to do. I never thought this would happen to me but I was purchased from a breeder by my first owner who after two weeks of taking me home said he couldn't take care of me anymore. He was going to send me away where they would put me to sleep. Instead, a Good Samaritan family, who knew my previous owner, stepped up and took me in even though their plates were full with a newborn baby, a 4 year old Siberian Husky named Duchess and a Dad who traveled a lot. I have been very happy playing with Duchess and have had a good and happy 5 months with my Good Samaritan family. But as my Dad started traveling more and my Mom needed to spend a lot more time with her newborn baby and her beautiful dog Duchess. I was just too much for the family to take on. My mom started to call around to find someone who could help by loving me and taking care of me and spoke to the President of Paws 4 Humanity, Inc. The next thing you know my mom was crying happy tears as Paws 4 Humanity stepped up - Kathy was going to take me into her home. We all met one weekend where Kathy and I instantly bonded. Kathy taught me some commands to be a better mannered dog and she realized then how intelligent I was and how I so wanted to please. I am living with her two one year old goofy golden retrievers, a 12 year old Australian Shepherd mix, and a 2 year old Border collie / greyhound mix who she is fostering – boy is she a live wire! I am very happy but would like to find my forever home – a home that rocks! I have a lot of energy and will need a fenced in yard to play, play, play and then play some more! I am a very good boy and like adults, young kids, infants, and other dogs. I have never made the acquaintance with a cat – but I think I would like them too! If you are interested in meeting me please contact Paws 4 Humanity, Inc at the email address paws4humanity@att.net or call my foster mom at 904 771-9516. I would love to meet you and show you that I deserve a forever home!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Capone, a Jacksonville Siberian Husky puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Siberian Husky for sale in Jacksonville, or seeking a Siberian Husky puppy from a breeder in Jacksonville.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Jacksonville already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Jacksonville breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Siberian Husky breeders who help with Siberian Husky rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Jacksonville paves the way for another one to be saved.
