My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

What a lucky, lucky girl -- Rose is one of a handful of cats accepted by CRI from a nearly 100% kill shelter in North Carolina that used the "heartstick" method of killing animals. She was saved by rescuers trying to make a difference in high-kill shelters in Georgia and North Carolina. She was saved and boarded, waiting for a rescue group, foster or adopter. Now she's ready for the real home she deserves -- she's a petite, gorgeous sweetie pie with dark brown color and black striping. She is kind, loving and outgoing, so grateful to be loved! She was obviously very much loved at one time and came to us with a worn pink collar, so now she would love to cuddle up with you in a home all her own -- a home that won't abandon her in a horrible shelter facing certain death ... UPDATE: Rose was adopted by what we think was an abusive home for 3 months then returned without a single belonging, even though we gifted food, her favorite toys, blanket, scratcher and a voucher for a free rabies shot, but she never got the shot and now needs revetting, which we'll take care of this week. I have one thing to say here: If you're not loveable at all yourself and are incapable of giving love to a helpless, sweet critter, you'll never see the good in an angel right before your eyes.
