ADOPTION PENDING!

If you looked up the term "couch potato" in a dictionary, you just might find a photo of Sadie. She's a sweet little low-maintenance Beagle who just loves to lounge! After a nap or two, she also enjoys running around the backyard a bit. Sadie has a long body and short little legs and when she gets motoring, it's fun to watch her go! We think Sadie is around four or five years old, so she's well past the chewing stage. In fact, she has excellent house manners. She's fully housetrained and crate trained and she seems to like everyone, especially kids. She gets along very well with other dogs, too. She'd make a great addition to any family. Sadie weighs around 28 pounds, but is very compact so she looks a little smaller. If Sadie sounds like a good fit for your home, contact her foster mom to find out where you can meet her!

As HAHS now has several adoption locations, please contact Liz at 913-226-2694 or liz_novak@hotmail.com to find out when and where you can meet SADIE!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sadie, a Overland Park Beagle dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Beagle for sale in Overland Park, or seeking a Beagle dog from a breeder in Overland Park.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Overland Park already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Overland Park breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Beagle breeders who help with Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Overland Park paves the way for another one to be saved.
