Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sissy (FOUND Shih Tzu) female
Hello there! I look to be a full-bred Shih Tzu. I am the absolute sweetest thing and was picked up by a nice lady and her daughter in the middle of Highway 169 a little south of Dance Drive between Keithville and Greenwood near some oil field roads on Saturday. They went door to door trying to find my owner but coulnd't find anyone that knew me. One man said he saw a dog that looked like me on Dance Drive on Friday but he thought I lived there. So, we went up and down to Dance Drive door to door trying to find my owner. I was sniffed by all the neighborhood dogs and they didn't bother me one bit so I might possibly have brother's and sister's. No one recognized me there either but a sweet lady had also seen me around there on Friday and just thought I belonged to one of her neighbors. One thing is for sure - I am someone's pet because I jumped right into the truck, laid down on the console and enjoyed the AC while we drove around trying to find my home. The nice lady that had seen me on Dance Drive said that if we could not find my owner, I could come back and live with her until we did. So, my rescuers did not have any luck finding my owner and they took me back to the nice lady's home to live until someone claims me.
She said she would definately keep me if my owner is not found but since I am so sweet, she feels that that owner might be looking for me and is probably heartbroken that I am missing. My foster mom's other dog suggested that they call me Sissy, because I might be his little sister if my owner isn't found.
You can contact my foster mom at 925-5467 (home) or 617-7923 (cell) if you are my owner. Please ask for Mary Sue. There is a screening process to adopt me and my adoption fee is a suggested donation to Pet Savers of $30 for their help in rehoming me and to help assure I go to a good home, plus you’ll get a low-cost unpaid voucher to get me spayed/neutered.
