Peaches's Story...
Breed: Chihuahua/Dachshund mix
DOB: 2005
Sex: Spayed female
Weight: 17 pounds

Hi, I'm Peaches, alias Goldie! Thought a new name and resume might be called for, since I have been looking for placement for awhile. My skills are cuddling, running and playing. I even know how to play by myself with my favorite toy. Even though I'm a little pudgy, I can still run fast and go up and down steps quite well. I do not eat a whole lot but will stare at you when you're eating, so someone must have fed me people food in the past.

My good attributes are that I do not potty in the house and will gladly go into a crate for a treat. I also do not chew up anything that is not mine.

My dislikes are cats and other little furry creatures. I am a little nervous around small kids and don't like them putting their fingers in my food bowl! When it is cold and rainy outside, I don’t really care to go out much, but when it is warm and sunny, it feels really good to stretch out on the ground in the sun and I could do that all day long. When it is time to go in the house, I try to lay down really flat so that no one sees me and maybe they will let me stay out longer.

My bad habits include taking off running if I get chance to go outside by myself, so I need a fenced yard to keep me safe. I am also a little shy, so one has to approach me slowly at first.

My best features are my warm body, and my quiet nature, so I am a good bedwarmer on those cold winter nights. Wouldn't you like to have me around?

E-mail lisa@schnauzerama.org if you think of some other things to ask about me.

About Our Rescue Group...
The Animal Placement Bureau is a volunteer foster care network with no paid staff and no sheltering facility. All of the dogs in our care live with our volunteers and become as much a part of their family as their own dogs.
Come Meet Our Pets...
Lansing Pet Parades will be held at:

PETCO
510 Frandor Avenue
Lansing, MI 48912

APB hold Pet Parades on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month.

Our Adoption Process...
Animal Placement Bureau's standard adoption fee is $195. Our adoption process includes an application, personal and vet reference checks, and a home visit. We do not ship dogs under any circumstances.

We do not have a facility; all of our dogs are fostered in private homes. To view our dogs, please check our front page for the dates of our next Pet Parade. Appointments outside of Pet Parade to visit our dogs are only available after an application has been filled out, and processing has begun.

Please be kind to our volunteers. E-mail inquiries will be answered much faster than phone inquiries; our phone number is a voice mailbox only.

If you'd like to apply to adopt one of our dogs, please fill out the online application.
