Shaina is approximately 1 year old.
Shaina is believed to be a Border Collie/Papillon Mix. She wieghs 18 pounds.
Shaina is vet checked, vaccinated, and heartworm tested negative. She is current on her heartworm and flea/tick prevention. She will be required to be spayed PRIOR to leaving the rescue.
Shaina does well with the other dogs. She loves to run and play. She plays a tad rough for smaller ones, but she does back off if they yip or scold her. With rules and supervision, she would be fine living with any size of dogs.
Shaina has been introduced to cats and was curious. She did bark at them but did nothing more. She tried to initiate play, but the cats refused and she went about her normal business. She would do well living with cats though.
Shaina does excellent with children. In her previous home, she lived with a 3 year old and was wonderful. She is gentle and loves to give kisses. She would do well with all ages of children.
Shaina is believed to be housetrained, however, she does best on a schedule and with any changes, she may have accidents. She does not bark, but will go to the door. She needs to be let out fairly frequently until a routine is established.
Shaina loves to check out her environment. She loves squeeky toys, and chew bones. She is very good about not chewing on shoes left out, but she still has puppy behaviors so always supervise. She loves to go for walks and runs. She has a lot of puppy energy and needs a fair amount of exercise, but she does well with a couple walks a day. She enjoys tummy rubs. She is smart and learns quickly. She does excellent on car rides!
