Sassafras's Info...

I am already spayed, housetrained, a special needs pet, in need of an experienced adopter, up to date with shots, good with kids, not good with dogs, and not good with cats.

Sassafras's Story...
Meet our "sassy" little one! Sassafras is an adult papillon who is housebroken and very well behaved indoors. Sassy is good with kids over the age of 5, but her previous owner felt she did not do well with toddlers or younger. They surrendered her because they were expecting a new baby. Sassafras is spayed and vaccinated. Her adoption fee is $125.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Sassafras, a Marshalltown Papillon dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Papillon for sale in Marshalltown, or seeking a Papillon dog from a breeder in Marshalltown.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Marshalltown already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Marshalltown breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Papillon breeders who help with Papillon rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Marshalltown paves the way for another one to be saved.
