Chetsie's Story...
Hi, my name is Chetsie and I am a 12 year old, spayed female. I ended up at VPAS after being given up by my owner because she became responsible for her toddler grandson. I am terrified of children, so I was not enjoying life, and I was starting to become neglected. I am looking for a home without children where I can relax in my senior years and get the attention that I deserve. I like the company of other cats, so I would prefer a home where there is another older cat to keep me company, but I am afraid of dogs. In the attached photo I am the grey girl on the left and the kitty on the right is my friend Janet. I am currently for adoption at Petcetera at Tillicum Mall (Victoria, BC) so if you would like to meet me please come to Petcetera and say hello.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Chetsie, a Saanichton Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in Saanichton, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in Saanichton.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Saanichton already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Saanichton breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Saanichton paves the way for another one to be saved.
