Duke's Info...

I am already neutered, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, good with dogs, and good with cats.

Duke's Story...
Duke is an extremely loving, gentle, obedient and well behaved Am Staff/Beagle 7-month-old puppy abandoned at the city shelter with the reason, "Landlord doesn't allow dogs." Duke received an excellent Behavior Eval" at the shelter. He is seemingly housebroken, easy to walk, calm, good in a car, great with kids and easygoing around cats.
He would make an EXCELLENT FAMILY PET. Duke looks a lot like "Petey" from the old "Little Rascals" skits. Though not fully grown, Duke does not appear that he will be a big dog. (He is only 35lbs now and almost fully grown). If interested in Duke, please call us at (212) 427-8273. Currently, Duke is being boarded at a kennel and we would love to find either a foster or perferably, adoptive home for hm as soon as possible. HE IS A GREAT DOG!

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Duke, a New York American Staffordshire Terrier/Beagle puppy was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a American Staffordshire Terrier/Beagle for sale in New York, or seeking a American Staffordshire Terrier/Beagle puppy from a breeder in New York.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in New York already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a New York breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even American Staffordshire Terrier/Beagle breeders who help with American Staffordshire Terrier/Beagle rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in New York paves the way for another one to be saved.
