Rocky's Story...
Nice to meet you, my name is Rocky. I am a bit of a reserved gentleman, an older fella who would prefer a calm relaxed environment. My last home was wonderful, but than a grandchild came along. I am too grumpy around little ones so that meant I had to find a new place to call home. One without children. Adults and teenagers will be fine but if kids are gonna visit I am going to have to retreat to my own room. I am an affectionate dog, I really love my person. But right now I am kinda stressed about this life change so I am a little bit hesitant when I meet new people. That will all change once I get settled in a real home again. I am housebroken and have great house manners, I do well with other pets and I am very clean and quiet. I am in great health but could stand to loose a few pounds! 11 years old-20lbs. My adoption fee is $80 and includes current shots, neuter, free vet exam, 1 month pet health insurance, 5 week training class, leash/collar, toy & treat packet, food sample.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rocky, a Portland Poodle (Miniature) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Poodle (Miniature) for sale in Portland, or seeking a Poodle (Miniature) dog from a breeder in Portland.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Portland already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Portland breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Poodle (Miniature) breeders who help with Poodle (Miniature) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Portland paves the way for another one to be saved.
