Melissa's Story...
We don't know how someone could move and not take Melissa along, but that's exactly what happened to her!

Melissa is a beautiful girl who has some tabby markings blended in with her calico coloring, and lovely deep green eyes. She loves to be petted, and sometimes will gently touch your face with her paw to let you know when she wants attention! Although she is very people-oriented, she does not like other cats and would do best in a home where she can be your one and only!

Melissa was born in May, 2005. She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, tests negative for FIV/FeLV, and is ready for a loving home where she will never be left behind.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Melissa, a AUSTIN Domestic Longhair cat was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Domestic Longhair for sale in AUSTIN, or seeking a Domestic Longhair cat from a breeder in AUSTIN.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in AUSTIN already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a AUSTIN breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Domestic Longhair breeders who help with Domestic Longhair rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in AUSTIN paves the way for another one to be saved.
