Birdie's Story...
My name is Birdie. I am a very small fawn 2 1/2 year old female. I am new to rescue and my foster mom says that I will be evaluated before I can find my forever home. Please check back for more information on me.

Birdie is a very sweet petite girl. She is still very scared of new situations and loud noises. She has spent her short life on a farm with little attention to socialization and obedience training. She is an Alpha girl so she will only be placed with another male. She is slowly learning manners and is totally house trained She will be placed with a family that will be willing to continue her introduction into the real world. She is still very afraid of men though she is warming up to her foster dad with many treats and a lot of patience. Once she gets to know you, she is all over you for love and attention.

Because of her excitability and tendency to grab treats, she will not be placed with small children

Check back cuz my foster mom and still getting to know each other!

If you are interested in adopting BIRDIE, you must fill out an Adoption Application which can be found at: F.O.R.M.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Birdie, a Gig Harbor Mastiff dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Mastiff for sale in Gig Harbor, or seeking a Mastiff dog from a breeder in Gig Harbor.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Gig Harbor already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Gig Harbor breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Mastiff breeders who help with Mastiff rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Gig Harbor paves the way for another one to be saved.
