Rogue's Story...
This is Rogue – he is a 4 year old Leonberger/Golden mix. He weighs about 65-70 lbs and is just a big love-bug. He’s extremely soft as you can tell in his pictures. He has been with the same family since he was 8 weeks old – but they are moving and couldn’t take him with them. He is house-trained and crate-trained. Rogue is good with dogs and wonderful with kids of all ages – he’s been raised with infants, toddlers and even teenagers. He is a sweet boy who wants his next home to be his FORever home. If you think that might be your family please email us at forrescuetn@gmail.com for an application or more information.

Why Adoption is a Great Option

Rogue, a Windham Leonberger/Golden Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Leonberger/Golden Retriever for sale in Windham, or seeking a Leonberger/Golden Retriever dog from a breeder in Windham.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Windham already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Windham breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Leonberger/Golden Retriever breeders who help with Leonberger/Golden Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Windham paves the way for another one to be saved.
